
Born in the southern Philippines, Chef Rolando Ordonez began his culinary journey on the Philippine cooking show Better Homes Ideas. He honed his skills over nine years in Dubai at Taj Palace Luxury Hotel and Manga Sushi Restaurant, later collaborating with Chef Daizo Hashida to open ROKU Restaurant, awarded Best Japanese Cuisine by Time Out magazine in Cyprus.
Chef Ordonez has introduced innovative Japanese flavors worldwide, including in Saudi Arabia with Chef Masahiro Kinosshita. Currently, he is Chef de Cuisine at Katsuya Restaurant in The Bahamas, creating and refining menu items while sharing his passion for Japanese cuisine with both locals and guests.
