
Nuris is a passionate painter whose recent work explores vibrant colors and emotive storytelling. She blends contemporary techniques with personal expression, focusing on themes of roots, nature, and collective Caribbean history and memory.
Since 2006, Nuris has participated in numerous group exhibitions at Ateliers’89, showcasing her versatility across various art forms, including drawing, painting, photography and installation art.
Her background in dermatology and her work in photography initially inspired her artistic journey, fueling her fascination with nature’s forms, colors, and movement. Inspired by nature’s ever-changing and evolving qualities, Nuris emphasizes movement in her artwork through the strategic use of color and line, reflecting her belief that nothing in nature remains static.
