
Morel Doucet (b. 1990, Pilate, Haiti) is a Miami-based multidisciplinary artist and arts educator. Through ceramics, illustration, and printmaking, he explores climate gentrification, migration, and displacement in Black diaspora communities. His work offers poignant narratives on environmental decay, economic inequity, and racial identity.
Doucet’s Emmy-nominated art has been featured in Vogue Mexico, Oxford University Press, Hyperallergic, PBS, Miami Herald, and more. He holds a BFA in Ceramics from the Maryland Institute College of Art, with a minor in creative writing and a concentration in illustration.
His work is part of major collections including the Pérez Art Museum Miami, Microsoft, Facebook, and the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami. Doucet has exhibited nationally and internationally, including the Venice Biennale, Havana Biennial, and the Design Museum of Chicago.
As an educator, he designs immersive courses that spark curiosity and visual literacy in young audiences.
