Kraig Yearwood is a Barbadian artist and designer. He studied Graphic Design at the Barbados Community College (BCC) and now makes drawings, paintings, prints and sculptures. He is the owner/designer of the accessories label Stuff, producing handcrafted luxury items which utilise natural materials and contemporary design aesthetics. Yearwood has had six solo shows and participated in group exhibitions locally and internationally. While he describes his approach to making as partially intuitive, he is also influenced by minimalist sensibilities, using structure and order, alongside symbolism and gesture to evoke a sense of precariousness, vulnerability and meditative poetry in his works.
