Karlando Butt is a Jamaica-born digital artist who works almost exclusively in pixel art, drawing heavily on the look and feel of classic video games. Entirely self-taught, he channels a lifelong passion for gaming into vibrant scenes where retro graphics meet the colors, folklore, music, and everyday moments of Caribbean life. By blending these worlds, he explores how digital imagery can carry both personal and cultural stories. Karlando is now expanding his practice into animated pixel loops and small interactive pieces, including a video game itself, to push his visual storytelling even further. He has also worked to share and grow the pixel art medium globally, bringing it beyond Jamaica to a wider audience.
